Unfortunately the Hero hasn’t discovered the anti-glare secret that the iPhone apparently has. I don’t have an iPhone to check but I’m guessing their screen might be minutely convexed to disperse glare.
i would get the hero in a heart beat, but the only thing stopping me is it does not have built in memory which just lowers the chance of getting it, however i will still consider getting a Android phone
Android is very user friendly. You simply have to spend some time with the phone to truly get all that it does.
G1 owner.
hero is faster than 3gs now the update is here
oh common.. the i phone is quit just a “smartphone” for small children who want to play a lot of games.. but hero combines much with relationships to friends and other stuff… btw.. the hero can have widgets.. and iphone.. noo..
Very good review. Bought HERO for family member last wk. She did not like iphone 3g I got her month ago but loved the document & management of HERO right away. The Hero was able to mount on both her Mac & Linux partitions, transfer FILES, MUSIC, VIDEO, to memory card EASILY. Difficult w/ the iphone w/o purchasing an app or jailbreaking. BOUGHT ANOTHER FOR A FRIEND. A few months & Android & SlideMe Markets will have more apps & Hero 2 will have same cpu as Iphone 3. Can’t wait to buy HERO
That slightly bigger iPhone 3GS’ screen seems to be much over this HTC phone. When he was watching that comics (2:17) page you could see there were 4 drawings visible on the iPhone, whilst on the HTC you could see 3 of them. On the HTC, it just seems as if there was this big zoom in that trims lots of the view (perhaps it’s the matter of customization). Also, as it as well may be the customization thing, iPhone 3GS gives you a brighter view. I guess I’ll prefer iPhone 3GS over HTC
Omg I loved the surprised “You have Xgalaga for free!!”
anyways, I don’t really buy these phones for gaming so HTC Hero wins by a long shot, plus, I trust open source systems (especially when they are supported by google) any day than apple systems… for users by users ey?
My Hero is being delivered to me on monday, cant wait,
finaly i unlocked my iphone , i used unlock-iphone . org , i recommand
well done mister phonedog
Hi, i’m pretty sure i’m gonna buy the hero, but i’m wondering if it might be too high-tech for me, and that i wont be able to enjoy the full use of this lovely instrument. Do you have to know what android is etc. or is it enough to study the manual closely after buying it?
bite me nerd!
Have you noticed that you look like some sort of retard? Your eyes, nose and mouth look very funny when they are on your face… LOL!!!
3rd version, you fucking moron
Tommorow i’ll be getting my Hero
after this reveiw/dogfight i’m pretty happy about choosing my Hero (lol) and not the iPhone…since almost everybody is walking around with that piece of Tech.! I dont wanna be a common user, i wanna be a Hero
@Noah: remember that this is the 4th version of the iPhone whereas it’s the first version of the Hero.. Apple improved the iPhone a lot since the first gen!
I think the Andriod market will increase, i reckon it will take over mobile phones =)
Has the HTC Hero been updated yet about the Lag?? Cause I’m getting it on Saturday. “plz inform me soon”
They released a ROM update that apparently removes the lag entirely.
the htc sounds really cool and i heard sprint did take it but does any1 know if they fixed the lags and stuff?
the iphone is much better than any other one
What i think people fail to realise is that a jailbroken iphone can do anything these other phones can do slicker, better & faster i`ll stick with my iphone for now i think.
