The three-year agreement with Beckham will kick off with advertising appearances and retail promotions in Asia. Motorola will embed exclusive Beckham content–such as screen savers and video clips of the star in action–in Motorola handsets.

Beckham is expected to start his role as Motorola spokesman immediately and will be seen carrying Motorola products during the World Cup tournament.

As part of the deal, Beckham will also promote the newly launched red Moto Slvr phone, a red version of the ultrathin Moto Slvr phone. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these phones and consumers’ monthly cell phone bills go into the Red fund, which was started by U2 rocker Bono and former President John F. Kennedy’s nephew Bobby Shriver to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.

Love iTunes, but hate iPod?

Motorola RAZR is the best choice. This iTunes phone is one of the best MP3 phone.

Motorola is prepping the launch of the third-generation version of its iTunes phones in the US. The company this month began distributing marketing materials that advertise an iTunes-compatible version of its popular RAZR phone and has already begun selling the phone in the UK.

In November of last year, the company announced the quad-band Motorola RAZR V3i, the third mobile phone from the company to run iTunes mobile software — a result of the joint partnership between the two companies that began last year with the release of the first iTunes ROKR phone, which was called a flop by industry analysts and the media.

Despite the failures, however, many industry analysts believe that music-enabled cell phones will challenge the iPod-dominated MP3 player market.

The first thing that will catch your eye about this unit its slim form factor. It’s not at good looking as theRazr by any means, but rather thin nonetheles. The phone is also big enough though, that we could comfortably cup it in one hand and operate the controls.

Everybody loves iPod, and eagerly waiting for an iPod cellular phone.

Nana Furman doesn’t own a mobile phone, preferring not to be pestered with calls during her private time. But Furman, a young Chicago professional, is a big fan of the iPod and all things Apple.

So, if Apple Computer were to launch a cell phone–one with links to Apple’s Web music store and other Apple applications–she might reconsider, saying she would “definitely be intrigued.”

Apple watchers and wireless-industry observers think a lot of people would be intrigued.

In fact, they expect the iPod maker to launch its own phone and wireless service, calling it a logical extension for Apple and its famous brand.

While Motorola, has launched Rokr E1, which is similar function with iPod.

After much ballyhoo, Motorola last September launched the Rokr E1, the first non-Apple device to include iTunes, Apple’s Web-based music service.

The Rokr was panned for being bland and for storing only 100 songs, far less than most iPods. A second Motorola iTunes phone was far more stylish, but still held only 100 songs.

So far, Motorola’s iTunes phones have been “clearly designed not to interfere with the iPod,” said Ross Rubin, a consumer electronics analyst at NPD Group. In other words, Apple has no intention of letting a phone it didn’t make cannibalize iPod sales.

With a name like Motorola Hollywood, a cell phone should have a lot of glitz and glam, yet Amp’d Mobile’s newest handset is simply a rebranded version of the Motorola E815. Closely resembling its predecessor in many ways, the Hollywood isn’t the most stylish cell phone on the market, but its features are certainly emblematic of Hollywood entertainment.

Inside, you’ll find a speedy EV-DO connection, a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, and thanks to Amp’d Mobile, an all-3G MVNO riding Verizon’s network. The Hollywood sets itself apart via a custom user interface with animated icons and snazzy entertainment features that include live shows and exclusive Amp’d content. With its smooth black exterior, it’s also a better-looking phone than the gray E815. The Motorola Hollywood is $149, but you can get it for $99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Verizon Motorola RAZR users can now walk into a Verizon store and have their handset’s firmware upgraded to a new version which support file transfers to and from your PC over USB with Motorola Phone Tools. Not only that, OBEX support has also been added which means that files can be transferred over Bluetooth to another Bluetooth-capable device.

Although it looks a bit like the PEBL, I can assure you it’s not the PEBL, and does not come with any similar features apart from the smooth, contoured design.

The Motorola W315 supports MMS messaging, and is location-capable (aGPS support). Motorola also claims sufficient talk and standby times. The phone sports a unique vertical display on the outside. The internal display is largish, at 1.8″ capable of 65k colors and is a 128×160 pixel resolution. Not much, but it does the job.
