We don’t need to do anything about the battery if were just replacing the screen right? (I know that sounds retarded but idk if you may have to reset something to recognize the new screen…probably not lol)

No. The 3GS digitizer and LCD might look the same but the connectors on them are different from the 3G.

We have a couple of 3G S units and none do that. Since it is under warranty I would contact apple on this issue.

interesting vid, can I ask you, does the iphone 3g s have a part in it that rattles a little bit when you shake the iphone? I shake it and I can hear a little rattle inside, magnometer or accelerometer maybe? Thanks!
