The other thing you never mentioned is how terrible the build quality of the Pre is. It feels like a garbage piece of plastic, and right out of the box the 2 halves of the Pre will flex. The other thing is the fact that the pre is EXTREMELY sharp on the keyboard edges! It can nearly cut you!

The other thing, is seriously, what do you plan on ‘multitasking’ with aside from playing audio in the background while you use other apps which… THE iPHONE CAN DO! Not to mention iPhone OS 3.0 brings push notifications which lets developers send you notifications when you get a say chat message or an update from your news feed. Multitasking is useless when you can only see one thing at a time and it just kills your battery life without actually being useful.

How is the Pre multitasking? Really, you can only see one app at the time and it requires the exact same amount of work to change between apps…. how is that different from the iPhone? On the pre, you have 2 apps open but all it’s doing is wasting your battery life because you can’t multitask- the screen is too small to see 2 things at once. In other words, you have ‘cards’ which is essentially just opening the launcher, then switching to the other app. On the iPhone, you press the home button.

look all of this features are really nice, but…seriously, how often do you use most of them? Basing a product review on on these “flash” features rather than than the 5 most-used features (e.g. phone usage, calendar, email access, contacts and browsing) is useless

Notice how the pre only has 3 bars and AT&T has 5! I compared their coverage maps today and AT&T wins by a far mile.

What ‘Kool-Aid’ are you iPhone people drinking? It’s like you are actually offended when someone compares another phone to it. The Pre rocks. The screen is awesome, the whole ‘card’ thing is genius. The network is so much faster. It’s cheaper and the monthly rate is soooo much cheaper. And it DOES look so much better than the iPhone. Very nice Palm.

JUST CLICK AND HOLD ANY OF THE ICONS ON YOUR LAUNCHER BAR (WHILE THE LAUNCHER IS OPEN) ONCE THEY ARE HIGHLIGHTED JUST DRAG THEM INTO THE LAUNCHER. THEN REPEAT WITH ICONS IN THE LAUNCHER TAP AND HOLD TILL HIGHLIGHTED – THEN DRAG THEM INTO YOUR LAUNCHER BAR.

Yeah but the Palm Pre looks like a shitty little plastic toy that you’d get in a McDonalds Happy Meal. And like Chilloutman33 said…half the things you criticise the iPhone for (eg multitasking) most people don’t make use of anyway.

palm pre is like 600 less a year with sprint! hello! thats the game changer if they were really the same price they’d be in competition. But i can pay 1200 more and get a compass and more memory and useless apps. Give me a break.
