    1. it has an accelerometer.
    2. they are making an on screen keyboard in a future update.

    I have not used the quickfire, but I am really liking my G1. It seems that you are really looking at the G1 and have thought about it, so I would go what is going to work the best for your use, or what features you like more with either phone! I hope this helps!
