I agree- if the Republicans want their party back they’re going to have to make an example of this administration. If they wait for the power to change hands the Democrats will get all the credit for the reform. I think that’s their only chance for a run at the white house, but they’ve already taken control of McCain’s camp now too…you can see how conflicted he is, it’s almost painful to watch, and I’m not even Republican.

I wanted Clinton to be impeached because he lied under oath. Now it is time for the Bush administration to be held responsible for law breaking activities. They need to be punished to full extent of the law! Bastards!

NO ONE is investigating the FACT that the BUSH Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales, who directed the ENRON prosecution was IN FACT, HIMSELF, a former ENRON LAWYER. Gonzales worked for Vinson & Elkins law firm in Houston and advised ENRON and Mr. Lay on how to set up systems to circumvent federal regulations controlling the energy business. Lay recommended him for appointment to the Texas Supreme Court to then Gov….BUSH.

Wow, they broke Federal law – that used to mean something. Anybody want to lay any bets whether these people go to jail or not? Anyone? I would guess they only go to jail if absolutely necessary to protect someone more important – like Rove, for example.

sonny: it might seem like it would, but it won’t work long-term. that’s because states compete with one another to attract business, just as do cities within states. the result is that the corporate sector has enormous influence in state and city gov’ts (a kind of divide and conquer scheme). there is no other way than to educate the public so they’ll insist that elected folks at the federal level push back against the corporate interests or lose their incumbencies. education is needed.

Go ahead obama, call us Hillary supporters racists, sore loosers, uneducated, poor… or whatever you want, come November I will walk my poor, racist, uneducated looser and tired old bones to a voting center and vote for McCain.

Well I do infact agree with you highly there.
How ’bout that? We’re in agreeience. Awesome. One thing you have to keep in mind though is the lobby system. And a strong “central” government suggests you want more power in the congress right? Meaning federal level decision making? Well, the problem with the lobby system is they attack congress on capitol hill. If power were given back to the states, that would break a lot of that centeralized corruption.

sonny: No, in fact, I don’t think a dem majority will fix things at all. The problem in the country, esp over the last 20 – 30 has been the rise of huge influence of the corporate sector and MI complex over the gov’t. It would be unusual to hear an elected person say the word “antitrust,” but that’s what we need. What we need is a broad-based rough and tumble capitalism in the country. It’s going to take a central gov’t with an adversarial stance toward the corporate sector.

colossus: well, i wasn’t yelling, if i were yelling, i would have used caps, lol. There is considerable fist-pounding about dems in congress needing to act in a principled way these days. I’m all for principles, but I’m more for winning the election and expanding our influence in the house and senate. in many cases, if we behave in a principled way, we will look weak on terror, and we could lose an election. we want to win, that’s all.
December 29th, 2008 at 6:44 am
sonny: huh? I of course hit reply on your comment and let anyone know who i was talking to by including your name. google: flaherty debunking federal reserve . . that will help. The fed merely translates economic fundamentals into shrinking or expanding the money supply. Our economic problems are not due to the fed.

Get rid of central banking? that’s it. . .
January 1st, 2009 at 10:18 am
The problem… You’re brainwashed by media into thinking a democratic populated government is the ANSWER to our problems. They’re the good guys and eventually they’ll figure it out.If we “play our cards right”. wtf? What cards? We vote for crummy politicians that hold all the cards. People like you don’t even realize that the people force fed to you to represent you aren’t there for your best interest. They’re there to be politicians. If we wake up, they’ll pander to us. So wake the fuck up.
January 4th, 2009 at 12:34 am
lol yeah, wtf?
January 4th, 2009 at 8:52 am
Do I have to spell it out for you?
Get rid of central banking.
And stop bashing me calling me a warped theorist. You have no substince to your posts so you have no right to conclude anything.
January 6th, 2009 at 1:22 am
do you have pod cast
January 7th, 2009 at 5:41 pm
So basically you’re just complaining and not offering anything useful.. I get that your cynical, but don’t try to beat everyone else down with your hopelessness and warped theories.
January 10th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
Ok, so do you think him “hearing” from you is going to change a bad decision? Do you think all the people that Bush is “hearing” from is making a difference? Don’t put hope in false prophets. He says a large mix of things. Oppose war then for war. Look up his speach at AIPAC. He’s ready to get us into another war. And just the fact that people are willing to elect someone that plans on spending HUNDEREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars on more government is kinda scary.
January 11th, 2009 at 2:04 pm
…why are you yelling at me
January 12th, 2009 at 10:06 pm
I’ll look into that, thanks
January 13th, 2009 at 6:57 pm
first of all, hit “Reply” on my comment so I see your comment. Second… conspiricy? That’s how far off people are from what’s real. Real issues. It has been talked about getting rid of the federal reserve for many years. You are severly uneducated it’s disgusting. The problem is even MORE apparent now then in the past. Look at the value of our dollar! You think that’s all just Bush? Get real.
