I just read a comment above which apparently Toyota simply used their name, and not the oval type logo we all recognise now. The Japanese have another Logo, but I’m not sure what the purpose of it is. ALso, if you look at the current Toyota logo, with a bit of imagination (apparently) you will be able to see all of the letters which spell TOYOTA
