I’m german and I like the way they speak that french accent.
Cousteau is well known in Germany too.
Since my hobby is reading books about sharks: I have one of Cousteau too with wonderfull pictures of his expeditions…. a really impressive man!

I’m french and i can tell you this is a parody of former french famous ocean life expert “Jacques-yves COUSTEAU”,who did many and many documentaries in his life. He was even known in USA.
That explains why this narrator takes a french accent…

Yes! The commercial was comparing Solaris to Windows NT for “MISSION CRITICAL APPLICATIONS”, not XP for home use. Solaris is archaic as a workstation, but as a server it is way much better than windows. The attempts they made to make it user friendly failed way below Linux distros like Ubuntu or Fedora, not to mention XP or the shiny MacOS

Heh. Used Solaris on a few Sun workstations about 3 years ago. Overall impression: retarded on every possible level. I’m a Linux fan, but even I would take XP over Solaris at any time.
