May 18 2007 gorilla Bokito escaped from the gorilla island in Blijdorp Zoo. He injured 4 people, one woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. One cannot blaim the gorilla for his behaviour. It’s not his nature to attack humans. Even more, Bokito was raised by humans.
