A colleague of mine used to be a keen extreme sports junkie and loved parachuting. This pasttime has sadly come to a piercing end since his final skydive ended in disaster due to a very poor landing on the BT tower aerial.
He was supposed to pull off a stunt which meant landing on a small space at the top of the tower but instead the very top aerial spiked him between the buttocks suspending him in mid air. Due to high winds this poor chap was left swinging like a pendulum for hours before help could release him from the bottom swallowed spike!
His wound has to be kept open for the packing and unpacking of medical tissues to prevent infection.
