Verizon is finally lifting the chains from its phones — well at least the RAZR V3c — when it comes to file transfers. Verizon Wireless customers previously had to go through Verizon’s network to transfer files, but a new software update will change all of that.

Verizon Motorola RAZR users can now walk into a Verizon store and have their handset’s firmware upgraded to a new version which support file transfers to and from your PC over USB with Motorola Phone Tools. Not only that, OBEX support has also been added which means that files can be transferred over Bluetooth to another Bluetooth-capable device.
